Heroes like Molly, Bahiti, and Sergey are excellent for beginners. They’re relatively easy to obtain, effective across multiple game modes, and don’t require heavy investment to perform well early on.

More important than the heroes themselves is having a strong formation in the Arena. One of the most common setups is two infantry units in the front row, two marksmen in the back corners, and one lancer in the center of the back row. With this formation, you should aim to use the best heroes from the most recent generations.

Exploration skills apply in PvE modes like Bear Hunt and Frozen Stages. Expedition skills apply to your city development and combat rallies (like SVS, Arena, or Crazy Joe).

You can unlock heroes through events, Lucky Wheel, in-game store purchases, special hero packs, and exploration rewards. Some heroes like Jeronimo and Natalia are paid-only.

Each season, one legendary hero is featured on the Lucky Wheel — a great opportunity for free-to-play players. Always save your diamonds for this event and invest in that hero. Hold onto your legendary shards for a different hero from the same generation. Since it’s very difficult for free-to-play players to max out all three heroes from a generation, the best strategy is to focus on just two. Stick to that plan, and you’ll be in a strong position long-term.

Some Gen 1–5 heroes like Jeronimo still remain relevant. However, in competitive environments like SVS and Arena, newer generation heroes generally perform better due to higher base stats.

A balanced PvE team often includes a tank (Magnus or Gregory), a healer (Freya or Philly), and at least two AoE DPS (Blanchette, Sonya). Adjust based on the event and enemy formations.
